Dominic Jones- LFW SS.2013


Entertaining a sculptural background himself, Jones’ initial creations stem from wax works, lending an organic softness to raw, bone-like structures. Elsewhere the use of poised serpents and mythical foundations made their siren call to the more fanciful amongst us, while extended sculpted claw rings in glittering gold saw Jones exploring “the darker side of his aesthetic”. With a pinch of surrealism from the great H.R Giger, Jones has developed objects d’art reminiscent of the precision of great artisans such as Rene Lalique, without straying too far from the success of his ‘Tooth and Nail’ roots. Spring’s darkest secrets revealed, Jones has us sharpening our talons in anticipation.
